Back in november of 2014 my Facebook feed “fed” me a video by another “Mark Shepard”.
The other “Mark Shepard” is a radically innovative proponent of something he calls “Restoration Agriculture”.
I was blown away and rendered HOPEFUL by his clarity, passion and practical solutions for our current path of planetary desertification. Interestingly
enough, Mark Shepard the farmer is also a songwriter… If you know anything about THIS Mark Shepard, I love to “farm” as well growing greens all year around in my apartment as well as whatever I can grow in the backyard during the summer. And while the “edible landscape” is nice, ultimately we need to change our industrial farming practices on a MASSIVE scale in order to sustainably feed the billions of us on this little spaceship we call Earth.
This song is dedicated to the other, “Mark Shepard.”
