Home Across The Sea is the 2nd “New Thought Music” CD by Singer Songwriter Mark Shepard. Following hard on the heels of his 2012 release, “The Fire Before The Flame”.
Inspired by the ideas swirling around the “spiritual but not religious” Unity Church in Albany NY as well as Bethany Gonyea’s Numinous talks and the Albany Peace Project.
The idea is that we are spiritual beings with bodies. We are not bodies with spirits. Ultimately this CD explores the ideas that we create our own reality with our thoughts. Our thoughts have the power to change our own lives as well as make a positive difference in the world “outside” of us.
This CD contains some of Mark Shepard’s most beloved new thought songs as well as several chant pieces that are designed to be song in groups with simple repeated lines that cause the “monkey mind chatter” or “internal dialogue” to slow down and stop.
