This one is in the category of “Wow I kind of forgot about that one!”
Found it this morning along with a couple other songs mis-labeled as 1987…
I love how it’s kind of depressing at first, but DEMANDS what we call in NLP an “internal derivational search” to challenge the listener to REMEMBER a time when they felt JOY….
I LOVE how my songs have been training ME to change my thinking, long before I realized they were so beautifully sneaky… LOL
check it out and enJOY your day.

Song #100 | Feb/March 1988 | CD: tbd
Raise your children to be strong and wise
Respect the trust that lingers in their eyes
Give them love and laughter, give them songs
Give them a place to which they can belong
Look out Jesus in your tie-dyed jeans
Elvis Presley gonna steal your scene
Who needs disciples when you go millions of fans?
Who needs the Rock when you can build on sand?
Refrain:
I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know…
The presidential candidates debate
Cardboard boxes hold the world’s fate
Will your future be a dream come true?
Or are the bill collectors haunting you?
Refrain:
The more things change the more they stay the same
The more we wonder, the less we explain
The less we live the more we tend to complain
Have you ever felt too much joy to contain?
Refrain:
