Not an easy song to come up with a single photo for! This song is the result of a deeply romantic evening where everything was in “flow.” We were walking around the New Haven CT and happened to be walking by a private concert in a beautiful courtyard of one of the Yale University buildings. A man offered us free tickets because he couldn’t attend the concert and he didn’t want them to go to waste… so we slipped in just as the concert was about to start… the weather was perfect… the moon began to rise… the music was transporting us to an entirely new world…
Well, just listen…

You Know I Feel You
Song 353 | Summer-Fall 2006 | CD: Purest Form of Trance
You know I feel you,
Flowing in my veins
I receive you like the earth,
Receives the sun and rain
You are the boat and I’m the river,
You’re the river, I’m the stone
Skipping across your surfaces
Then sinking deep to my new home
Sinking deep into my home
I am a jazz band and
You’re the silky, smoky tune
I improvise your melody
Beneath this gazing Summer moon
Like the trumpet and the saxophone
Entwine themselves in sound
For the alter of the audience
Listening with their heads bowed down
You know I feel you,
Flowing in my veins
You know I receive you like the earth,
Receives the sun and rain
What is love and what is God?
What is this breath I breathe?
What is this rising tide in me
That feels wider than the sea?
I breathe you in like incense
Penetrates the clothes you wear
Your kisses linger on my lips
Like a perfectly sun ripened pear
You know I feel you,
Flowing in my veins
You know I receive you like the earth,
Receives the sun and rain
You’re the boat and I’m the river,
You’re the river, I’m the stone
Skipping across your surfaces
Then sinking deep to my new home
Sinking deep into my home
