We ALL know this person. There was no actual individual who inspired this song, I had a fun twitter exchange with a woman who sent a tweet: “feeling like a little miss cranky pants today…” so I keep responding to her tweets with exaggerated examples of what a “little Miss Cranky Pants” would actually be like… It turns out she was cranky because she was moving from the Caribbean island she lived on back to the rainy, snowy Northeast… in fact she was moving to New Haven CT where I happened to live… weird coincidence…
I also think that this song might have a place in the Starbucks Musical that never got finished. I did eventually get a job at Starbucks to better understand both sides of the counter… and there were definitely “Miss (and Mr) Cranky Pants” on both sides. LOL

Little Miss Cranky Pants
Song # 393 | March 2009 | CD: tbd
Little Miss Cranky Pants
Never really learned to dance
But she knows hot to pout
She would rather whine than dine
Gripe and moan all the time
She’d rather stay in than go out…
Little Miss Cranky Pants
always looks a bit askance
At anything that isn’t full of doubt
Living by Murphy’s laws
Focusing on all the flaws
Because, because, because, because
Little miss Cranky pants
Never missed a chance to glance
Done.. and … out…
Never has to scream or shout
All she has to do is point out
What you are without
Little Miss Cranky pants
Never raves but loves to rant
Her favorite word is “cant”
P{ut a cloud in every sky
Assumes that every one will lie
Returns most everything she buys
Bridge:
Little Miss Cranky Pants
Little Miss Cranky Pants
Little Miss Cranky Pants
You would give her a chance
If you only knew her story…
Little Miss Cranky Pants
Never misses any chance
To complain about the weather
She will pop your big balloon
Just before she leaves the room
So that you won’t forget her..
Little Miss Cranky Pants
Never really learned to dance
But she knows hot to pout
She would rather whine than dine
Gripe and moan all the time
She’d rather stay in than go out…
Little Miss Cranky Pants
always looks a bit askance
At anything that isn’t full of doubt
Living by Murphy’s laws
Focusing on all the flaws
Because, because, because, because
