About this song: (Lyrics Below)
Here’s a song that I’ve never, ever, released ANYWHERE until today.
I wrote it back in 1993 at a time in my life when EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING looked like it was falling apart. Little did I know it was actually COMING together.
In case I haven’t told this story enough, I had bought 4 houses for nothing down at the top of the 1980’s real estate “Bubble”. It popped, leaving me bankrupt, and miserable and desperate enough to start doing music gigs at nursery schools and day care centers…
The only way out is through. This supposed “failure” was again one of those things that moved my ass closer to this amazing, miraculous moment of ‘RIGHT NOW’. Where I am releasing my music to a small but growing WORLD WIDE AUDIENCE.
This song is about valuing what actually makes our lives worth living. These tiny little moments that can focus us on what is fabulous about being alive right… NOW.
– Mark
p.s. Sound quality note: It sucks. Not up to today’s standards etc. I release it here for archival reasons to preserve it and share it. I’ll add it to the list of songs I want to turn Joe Mennonna loose on. :o)

Moments Away

Take time to read tot he children
Take Time to read to yourself
Take time to throw a frisbee
Take time to be…
Take time to smell the flowers
Take time to plant a see
Take teim to dance in rain showers
Take time for what you need
Take time for what you need
Refrain:
Because we are moments away…
We are moments away…
We are moments away… from…
Par-a-dise…
Bridge:
Hey don’t I know you?
From somewhere long ago?
Hey deon’t I know you?
Where did the time go?
Take time to laugh like a fool
Take time for the golden rule
Take time to look at the view
Take time to say “I love you”
Take time to say “I love you”
