Outside Looking In Song 409

Outside Looking In

1/14/2010 | Song # 409 (Version 3)

I’m one of those kids who never fits in
Always out side looking in
At the cool kids having all the fun
I like to read, I like to write
I like to watch the birds in flight
I don’t see the world in terms of black and white

I like to sing, I like to skate,
I like to investigate
The movements of tectonic plates
I want to design a pollution free car
I want to travel to the stars
I like to collect things in mason jars

Refrain/Bridge:
Sometimes it’s lonely being the only one
Excluded from the fun
Sometimes its hard to stand apart
But I like that I like what I like to do

Sometimes I wear black sometimes I wear pink
Have you ever thought to think
About how many times a day you blink?
You just might have noticed I like to take photos
And I focus in so closely
That ordinary things begin to sing

When I turn my camera on I’m suddenly calm
And I feel a sense of peace
Every time I hear my shutter release
When the popular crowd gets a little too loud
I imagine I’m on a cloud
Watching the world so far below

Refrain:
(Repeat 1st verse)
