About This Song: (Lyrics Below)
This is another one of the many songs inspired by Rev. Jim Fuller’s talks at Unity Church In Albany.
It starts with the classic story (powerful metaphors rock for connecting with your unconscious mind!) of Jesus telling the fishermen to fish on the other side of the boat.
When they followed his suggestion all of a sudden their nets started coming up full of fish.
I’m not a big bible thumper but I liked this story and the metaphysical approach Jim employed to bring us to our own new level of awareness… Of course the fish might have a whole different perspective! :o)
Fishing On The Right Side of The Boat….
Song # 458 | 10/2012 | CD: Home Across The Sea
I’ve been fishing on the wrong side of the boat
I’ve been searching for for somebody who will make me whole
I’ve been fishing on the wrong side of the boat
and I couldn’t catch a fish to save my soul…(fish to save my soul)
My body is a boat to float through life
Allowing me to taste and touch the world
My body is a boat to float through life
But someday I’ll release it when I move beyond (when I move beyond)
I’ve been paddling upstream against the Flow
I thought I knew better but I did not know
I’ve been paddling upstream against the Flow
But it’s time to turn around and let resistance go…
Refrain:
Let Resistance Go! Let Resistance Go!
Bridge:
Take a moment to be truthful. Take a moment to be sweet
Take a moment to admit that you’ve been voting with your feet
You can fight with the flow or you can ride with the tide
You can focus on what’s wrong or right but you decide…
Refrain:
I am fishing on the right side of the boat
I am open to abundance from the inside out
I am fishing on the right side of the boat
Where health and wealth and wholeness release all doubt
Refrain: Let Resistance Go!
