361 Lucky

27815210_sAbout This Song: (Lyrics Below)

I shared Rilee O’Neil’s version of this yesterday.

Probably not the best way to do it, have you listen to the BIG production and then this very bare bones acoustic version. But hey, “Why DOES it work out better than I can possibly imagine?”

Personally I love hearing how a song in it’s “raw” form has a more intimate, in my living room feel. And I love how Joe Mennonna creates so many “colors” and “textures” soundness with his contribution of arranging talent. I love Gene Moores BEYOND BRILLIANT electric guitar and I love Rilee’s little 12 year old spunky girl voice and talent…

However, all that stuff costs MONEY! LOL

Playing my guitar and singing is FREE! Damn! I’m LUCKY! I’m so grateful for my fingers and hands, arms, lungs, mouth! I’m so grateful for my beautiful guitar and this never ending urge to sing about whatever it is that is on my mind…

I am so lucky to have you waiting each day to hear my next “Song of the Day”.

Thank you for all the kind and supportive comments you send me! I really am Lucky!

I hope you will get this song stuck in your head and notice that your world really does change depending on what your dominant thoughts are… Enjoy!

Lucky

Song #361   |  Week of 2/14/2007   |   CD: Letters To Daddy

I kick around town, looking up and down
You know, I know my way around
Feel like I finally belong
I think about you, feeling brand new
And what the two of us could do
If we could sing this song…

If we could sing this…

Refrain
Ooo-eeeee I’m lucky!
Why is it easy today?
Ooo-eeeee I’m lucky!
Won’t you come out and play?

Glad I have eyes, glad I have hands
And a clean shirt and pants
And feet that wanna dance
Glad to be here, free of the fear
Feeling light and crystal clear
Ready to take a chance…

Get ready to take a…

Refrain

Life can be fast, as it flies past
And love takes time to grow
Sometimes, I’m at home alone
And all of it’s good, let go of the “shoulds”
And any impossibilities
As your wings catch the breeze!

As your wings catch the…

Refrain

Bridge: Why does it work out much better than you can possibly imagine?

Imagine…

Imagine…

Refrain:

Why does it work out much better than you can possibly imagine?
