322 Coming Home (version 2)

11219336_mlAbout This Song: (Lyrics Below)
The original version this song, #175, was about the work I was doing in the late 80’s and 90’s healing my life.

I was struggling on many fronts.

Physically, I was exhausted and seemed to be unable to digest my food properly.

Emotionally I was full of anger, sadness, fear, shame…you name it I was getting clobbered by it.

I could not for the life of me seem to be able to do anything significant with my music. Couldn’t perform it or sell it or market it or anything.

So I began to study Energy Healing with a woman named Mearah Marqua who was one of Barbara Brennon’s first students. I studied with her and a group of other people seeking to heal their lives one weekend a month. Slowly things began to change.

But first of course they fell apart even more! Eventually, step by step (always taking way longer than I wanted :o) the healing began and the thriving and joy followed.

It became apparent as I dove into Neuro Linguistics in the early 2000’s that a slight update was required linguistically to pre-suppose that the healing had already taken place…

Please share this link with anyone you know who may need some healing support.

Thanks for listening! – Mark

Coming Home (version 2)

Song #322   |  Revised 9/30/02 | CD: Thirsty For The Sky

Have you been stumbling through frozen winter fields?
Running from the shadows of the wounds that would not heal?
Have you been like the children who live on what they steal?
Are you open to the wisdom that your pain just might reveal?

Refrain:
It’s been a long time that I’ve been gone
It’s been a long time that you’ve been gone
It’s been a long time that we’ve been gone
I believe we’re coming Home

I invite you to a higher trance
Where the rhythms fill your body and remind you how to dance
Where healing hands can hold you and help release the hurt
Where you can re-create yourself with your thoughts and words

Refrain:

You are chosen to live within the Light
And I was born to tell you that it is yours by birthright
I may be a healer, but if only you could see
You are just as much a healer, a healer as me…

Refrain: (X2)

For me these songs are transformational lessons in self-love…

Dear Mark, THANK YOU for sending *Spark & Flame*!!!! This CD certainly is a compilation of Conscious Love Songs! As I listen I am transported to memory after memory past, present and future, fulfilled and unfulfilled. I was flooded with many different emotions. I cried, laughed, held my breath and also breathed deep heart-centered breaths of connection to the Divine. I feel joy, grief, sadness, compassion, love, awe, freedom, kindness, gratitude and appreciation. For me these songs are transformational lessons in self-love, releasing, acceptance for what was, what is and who I am. Knowing that I am enough and that I am Divinely Loved.

You have put a grown man in tears…

Mark, this song and message really hit home for me today. You have put a grown man in tears. Thank You for what you do. Sometimes I think you sound kind of cheesy, and then others, I think you are a genius, and I’m beginning to realize that you actually care about helping people. So hard to “get out of your own way” sometimes…thanks for the reminder.
