107 Mommy’s On A Bicycle

31652150_sGetting a lot of positive (if tearful) comments from yesterdays song post… In contrast, Today’s song is just fun and silly. LOL

As I remember it, I wrote this song with promptings from my kids… whatever they said I worked into the song… We did that a lot… of course I STILL do that… be careful what you say around me. If it’s got good “intrinsic rhythm” I will probably sing it back to you… or AT you… LOL

I’m so glad I recorded a lot of these songs back in the 1990’s at Gene Moore’s recording studio… otherwise they might have been forgotten…

Mommy’s On A Bicycle

Song # 107 | September 1988 | CD: nope

Mommy’s on a bicycle
riding, riding
Mommy’s on a bicycle
Riding up a hill
Mommy’s on a bicycle
Riding, riding
Mommy’s on a bicycle
Riding still

Refrain:
Daddy, Daddy, I think I see the moon
Daddy, Daddy, It’s shining in my room

Mommy’s on a bicycle
riding, riding
Mommy’s on a bicycle
The weather is hot
Mommy’s on a bicycle
Riding, riding
Mommy’s on a bicycle
Daddy is NOT!

Refrain:

Mommy’s on a rocketship
Rocketship, rocketship
Mommy’s on a rocketship
Flying to the moon
Mommy’s on a rocketship
Rocketship, rocketship
Mommy’s on a rocketship
She’ll be there soon!

Refrain Variation:
Daddy, daddy, Mommy’s on the moon
Daddy, daddy she’s shining in my room

Mommy’s in a the rocking chair
Rocking chair, rocking chair
Singing low and sweet
Mommy’s in the rocking chair
Rocking chair, rocking chair… Yawn..
TICKLING my FEET!

Refrain:

Hi Mark, I just had to tell you this. Been singing the chorus since the first day I heard it…

I sh*t you not when I say I’ve been singing the chorus to Honest Rock since the first day I heard it. I sing this every single day. Many times a day. Seriously. It’s like a mantra to me. It soothes me:-)

For me these songs are transformational lessons in self-love…

Dear Mark, THANK YOU for sending *Spark & Flame*!!!! This CD certainly is a compilation of Conscious Love Songs! As I listen I am transported to memory after memory past, present and future, fulfilled and unfulfilled. I was flooded with many different emotions. I cried, laughed, held my breath and also breathed deep heart-centered breaths of connection to the Divine. I feel joy, grief, sadness, compassion, love, awe, freedom, kindness, gratitude and appreciation. For me these songs are transformational lessons in self-love, releasing, acceptance for what was, what is and who I am. Knowing that I am enough and that I am Divinely Loved.

Your song was just perfect to start my day…

Mark, your song ‘Freedom (It’s Been  Long Road)’ was just perfect to start my day. I LOVE IT!  Thank you, Thank you.  Blessings to you and much gratitude for your musical gift.

You have put a grown man in tears…

Mark, this song and message really hit home for me today. You have put a grown man in tears. Thank You for what you do. Sometimes I think you sound kind of cheesy, and then others, I think you are a genius, and I’m beginning to realize that you actually care about helping people. So hard to “get out of your own way” sometimes…thanks for the reminder.

Jeremy
