134 Juliette

40222463_sJuliette was a French exchange student who stayed with us one week in July. She really bonded well with our whole family and when it came time to gather in a parking lot with all the other exchange students for the cross country bus tour part of their trip, she just stood there with the tears streaming down her face. It was very moving. She wanted to be a photographer. She wanted to travel the world. She had a sweet and open spirit that touched us deeply. She’s probably got children her own now… Bon voyage Juliette!

Juliette

Song #134   | 7/29/1989   |   CD: nope
[Tuning: EABEBE]

Our dearest Juliette
I hope this letter finds you well
The children send their greetings
And there is so much news to tell

Refrain:
Oh Juliette, Juliette of the seasons
Oh Juliette, Juliette, Juliette of the Breezes

I can see your tears of leaving
Rising to your eyes
Like clouds of monarch butterflies
Stranded in the rain…

Refrain:

I know you shall return to us
Like the Hudson river rises
To the pulling of the moon on tide
I know you will return

Refrain:

I can see you floating high above
The ocean like the Holy Grail
On the silver wings of aeroplanes
So small and frail

Refrain:

Beyond this tearful parting
Lie oh so many more
Awaiting you like packages
At every opened door

Refrain:

You must keep the courage in your eyes
To be just who you want to be
Please do not despair
If the other’s do not see

Refrain:

Our dearest Juliette
I hope this letter finds you well
The children send their greetings
And there is so much news to tell

You have put a grown man in tears…

Mark, this song and message really hit home for me today. You have put a grown man in tears. Thank You for what you do. Sometimes I think you sound kind of cheesy, and then others, I think you are a genius, and I’m beginning to realize that you actually care about helping people. So hard to “get out of your own way” sometimes…thanks for the reminder.

Jeremy

For me these songs are transformational lessons in self-love…

Dear Mark, THANK YOU for sending *Spark & Flame*!!!! This CD certainly is a compilation of Conscious Love Songs! As I listen I am transported to memory after memory past, present and future, fulfilled and unfulfilled. I was flooded with many different emotions. I cried, laughed, held my breath and also breathed deep heart-centered breaths of connection to the Divine. I feel joy, grief, sadness, compassion, love, awe, freedom, kindness, gratitude and appreciation. For me these songs are transformational lessons in self-love, releasing, acceptance for what was, what is and who I am. Knowing that I am enough and that I am Divinely Loved.
