428 Good Morning

428 Good Morning origAbout this Song: (lyrics below)
I don’t know about you, but I like songs that are spiritual but don’t hit me over the head with a lot of heavy “god talk” and religious “buzz words” and “cliches”.

I like spiritual but not religious songs mostly because I would like to attempt to experience the actual spiritual message or meaning for my own life in multiple faiths, and formats… WITHOUT the 2,000 of “baggage” that comes along with most of it…

So that being said, this is my response to the Easter Story from Christianity… Hopefully Christians can get something from it as well as those of us who might think of ourselves as “Spiritual but not necessarily religious.”

Either way, it’s a fun song to sing. – Mark

Good Morning

Song # 428   |   4/29/11   |   CD: The Fire Before The Flame

Refrain:
Good morning, good morning, good morning
Rise and shine….
Good morning, good morning, good morning
Rise and shine….

I met a stranger on the road to Galilee
I didn’t know him but he seemed quite friendly
He said some things that didn’t make a lot of sense to me (at the time)

Refrain:

What you think of me is none of my business
What I think of you is all about me
So I choose to think of you magnificently (in my mind)

Refrain:

Look around and breathe a breath or two
Remember you decide what it means to you
Whatever you believe will seem to be true…(rain or shine)

Refrain:

I met a stranger on the road to Galilee
I didn’t know him but he seemed quite friendly
He said some things that didn’t make a lot of sense to me
At the time… (But now they do!)

Refrain:
